About The Book

The Expectation of the Poor: Latin American Base Ecclesial Communities in Protestant Perspective by Guillermo Cook 1985. Guillermo Cook was born in Argentina of missionary parents. An affiliate of the Latin America Mission he was an adjunct professor of evangelism on the Theological Faculty of the Instituto Metodista de Ensino Superior in Sao Paulo and a church-growth consultant for the Brazilian Baptist Convention. He lives in Costa Rica where he is General Director of the Latin American Evangelical Center for Pastoral Studies (CELEP). He has degrees from Bob Jones University an licentiate in theology from the Seminario Biblico Latinoamericano of Costa Rica and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary/School of World Mission.
