The private eye that never sleepsIt is the late nineteenth century and a sum of $10000 has been stolen from the railroad and a clerk named Maroney who has a penchant for the horses is prime suspect. After the railroad hires the South's best detectives to tail Maroney – who find nothing – they turn to the north and the man synonymous with detection: Allan Pinkerton himself the head of the world's first modern detective agency. Pinkerton virtually invented and formalized undercover detective work and has a large fleet of skilled operatives. He sends his best agent Porter to get to the truth.
