When Mr. Sun's younger son Ryan was born Ryan had a hard time sleeping. Good or bad Mr. Sun held Ryan to sleep every night. He didn't want to use his phone next to Ryan's head so he had a lot of empty time to drive himself crazy through boredom. Fortunately Mr. Sun is good at living in his own world.

<span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>As a father he had a newfound understanding of something he had long grappled with being told he was special. Growing up he and those his age were often told they were unique snowflakes. He believed it but after graduating college trying to get a job during the dot com bust and then living in China for a year and a half he didn't feel special and didn't think the world did either. That feeling persisted up until his oldest son Nathan was born. After holding Nathan for the first time Mr. Sun understood that he was special maybe not to the world but to Nathan (hokey but true).

<span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>While holding Ryan to sleep Mr. Sun was reminded of that feeling and was inspired to write this book. Perhaps other parents can empathize with this hokey experience.
