LivesInTruth is one of 170 parts collectively known as The Republic in an individual with Dissociative Identity Disorder. This work is a collection of poetry written by many of the various parts within The Republic over the span of twenty seven years. The progression of the poems in this book reflects the process of the parts coming to terms with the circumstances leading to their creation becoming aware of one another developing co-consciousness and moving towards integration as a unified human being. Providing a look into the world of someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder this book reflects the journey of healing that individual has experienced through writing poetry. It is not intended to be a formal literary work. The poems are written in various formats and for the most part are not of any particular identified poetic forms. There is an occasional diamante haiku sestina or sonnet but otherwise most entries are unique in form.
