The reader realizes that Africa''s golden age is not coming anytime soon given the internal quarrels marked by tribalism clanism and presidents clinging to their seats. These deviations not only hinder development but also pave the way for imperialism neocolonialism and the greed of multinational corporations. Nationalism patriotism and pan-Africanism which drive some African leaders become mere hollow words and values that are on the decline. In this work those unfamiliar with African politics are well-informed and their naivety and ignorance are addressed. The author demonstrates skill in weaving intrigues providing precise facts portraying characters'' behaviors and constructing dialogues.
