Cat Harbour is a sleepy fishing village in 1940s Newfoundland with just the expected amount of drunk sailors and loose girls. And a library. The arrival of two visitors one quite ordinary and one quite extraordinary changes the lives of several of its residents forever. This historically imagined tale off-color at times and moving at others serves up a light course of Newfoundland history and culture with tasty Sudanese French Austrian British and Bostonian side dishes.
