He was brought up in Amritsar Punjab (India). He had his school education from St. Francis School Amritsar and graduation from D.A.V. College Amritsar. He topped in G.N.D. University Amritsar in Pre-University B.A. (English) Honours and M.A. English. He also topped in the University of Delhi (India) in M.A. Linguistics. He was a lecturer in English for a few years in D. A. V. College Jalandhar Punjab (India ). The English translations of his poems and short-stories have been published in several literary magazines and newspapers in India and abroad. He is author of an English poetry collection In Gandhis Country. He is an established and reputed poet and story-writer in Hindi and English with several collections of short-stories and poetry to his credit. He presently works as a Government officer in New Delhi (India).
