Boston Blackie is a fictional character created by author Jack Boyle. Blackie a safecracker jewel thief in Boyle's stories became a detective in adaptations for films. Chester Morris played Horatio Boston Blackie Black in fourteen film between 1941 and 1949 as well as a radio series in 1944 for N.B.C. Richard Lane played Inspector Farraday also in the radio series.</strong></p><p><br></p>
