It happens that this book germinated over dinner at my house in Virginia many years ago. Jack Kiley a contributor to <I>Triumph</I> the monthly magazine founded by my husband Brent Bozell was our weekend guest in 1966. Jack had had one of his serial cognitive breakthroughs as he calls them and sought Brent's advice on doing a novel about a pope.
