第一期中国文明的文学史 The First Issue of Literary History of Chinese Civilization

文学史不从神话开端， 明显缺了一环。因为神话不仅是文学的源头， 也是各种艺术、科学、宗教、思想的源头。不从神话开始文学谈论， 犹如丧失了灵魂的僵尸， 是谓丧尸也。这是其一。其二则是， 仅从《诗经》开始谈论中国文学史不够的， 即使不算《山海经》等民间杂书， 就算庙堂之作， 《周易》就有比较《诗经》更为古老的神话诗歌。因为在《中国文学史·概说》里面， 就把神话一笔带过， 完全是一种门外汉的做法。当然， 这也是迄今为止一般中国文学史的普遍格式。Synopsis: The history of literature does not start from mythology it is obviously missing a link.
