The First Year Experience

<p><em>The First Year Experience: Cultivating Equitable Environments for Underserved Students</em> is a concise impactful guide that equips current and future educators with the knowledge and skillsets they need to create a welcoming unbiased academic environment in which students from a variety of diverse backgrounds can thrive and succeed.</p><p><br></p><p>Unit I explores the wants and needs of students of color in higher education how to create effective LGBTQIA+ campus communities and the importance of reaffirming veteran students on campus.
