The Flamingo Girl / An uplifting family story set against the backdrop of the pandemic

Anupam and Nisha are on the verge of divorce. Their daughter Geetha is suffering from a grave illness. Anupam has been having an affair with a colleague of his and is due to marry her in the near future.At a traffic signal frequented by Anupam on his commute a sales girl and an orphan nicknamed by him as the flamingo girl for her trademark dress has kindled in Anupam an enigmatic daughter-like affinity for her that is bizarre to the family but ineluctably spiritual to him. On the eve of the nationwide lockdown the flamingo girl meets with a minor accident that lands her and her Rakhi brother Abid in Anupam’s house thanks to a chance encounter.As destiny would have it a few weeks into the lockdown the whole family is infected with covid. Geetha realizing her vulnerability successfully persuades her parents to adopt the kids. As Geetha battles the disease while her parents initiate adoption proceedings Abid finds himself embroiled in a criminal affair from the past in which his role was peripheral at best and central at the worst.Will Geetha survive the infection in her immunocompromised condition?
