The fundamental flower of life pattern starts with a vesica piscis and evolves into six (red circles) - around - one (blue circle). Each successive red circle creates a visica piscis with the center blue circle as well as a vesica piscis with its adjacent red circle. The center circle contains six flower petals and a single frequency hexagon would connect tips of these petals at the centers of the first circles outside the center creating the inner-most pattern known as the Seed of Life. The next two-frequency set of circle centers connect the two-frequency hexagon with three circles on each segment followed by the next outer set of the three-frequency hexagon (four circles on each segment) and so on.

This concentrically outward hexagonal progression of circles becomes the flower of life pattern with each nth frequency hexagon segment consisting of n+1 circles centered on it. The vertical spacing of adjacent circle centers along the hexagon segments is ½ (1/2 the petal length) and the horizontal spacing is 1/2 root 3 (1/2 the vesica piscis length) except when the far right and far left (2 of six) segments are vertically aligned whereby the horizontal spacing between the circles is zero and the vertical spacing is ½.

The root 3 vesica piscis length by its width the petal length (1) measure of the fish is key to the sacred geometry within the flower of life pattern.
