High Tor is a small peak in Rockland County New York and standing at 832 feet is the highest point in the Hudson Palisades. Aside from being a great spot for hikers and sightseers High Tor has a plethora of interesting history that not many people know about. High Tor has managed to catch the eye of countless individuals throughout history who have drawn inspiration from its slopes leading to the creation of numerous literary works beautiful artwork and a Broadway play. In addition to being a source of inspiration High Tor has also been the scene of numerous mishaps and interesting stories involving some interesting characters that add to the history of the peak.
