In the course of his career the author of this book has made many original contributions to the development of theoretical methods for treating elastic inelastic and rearrangement processes which can take place in atomic and molecular physics. ... The first two opening chapters recall the basic interpretation of quantum physics in particular on the introduction of time in the time-dependent Schrodinger equation. It is recalled that time is part of the frame of reference. Rather than use the term wave function he introduces the concept of a global information field which is analogous to the electromagnetic field. ...this book contains a large number of applications illustrating many interesting applications of quantum systems where a classical analysis can be successfully used to treat part of the internal dynamics successfully. It provides much information not easily accessible elsewhere. Hopefully it can awaken interest in treating problems where a combination of quantum and classical descriptions is required to obtain a meaningful result compatible with the experimental measurements.
