This book examines the fruit of the Holy Spirit as described in Paul's letter to the Galatians. The fruit of the Spirit-love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control-are the characteristics that Christians develop as a result of the Holy Spirit's work in our lives. This book provides a verse-by-verse analysis of Paul's teaching on the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. For each fruit the author sought to explain the meaning of the Greek words Paul used and how they would have been understood in the first-century context. The goal has been to provide a clear and practical understanding of what each fruit looks like when manifested in our daily lives. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the most fascinating expression of the Christian life. As we grow in these virtues we become more like Christ and reflect his character to the world.
