Amarjit Singh Bassi a veteran radio journalist in a South-Asian radio network in Virginia USA is looking forward to his retirement to spend his golden years with his grandson Nirvair. His plans to bid goodbye to his journalism career with a final series of interesting interviews are thwarted by a series of events. The assassination of a leading religious being and the sudden disappearance of his grandson turns everything topsy-turvy. Is someone seeking revenge for something he had done in the past? The frantic search for Nirvair unearths secrets of Amarjit's past in India his happy childhood transcending into his short tryst with Sikh revolutionaries and the massacres of 1984 and eventually his last flight from India leaving behind his life in Punjab with a promise to never return. As Nirvair is found carrying the burden of his wounds Amarjit embarks on a journey to India in the attempt to help his beloved grandson heal. He confronts the ghosts of his past on an emotional whirlwind trip reliving every memory of the decades by gone.
