Central Asia has the scene of competition between global forces mainly because of its energy and water potential. Although 25 years have passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union Central Asia have made little progress in improving water management and hydropolitical issues. Not scarce of water but mismanagement put the region on to the edge of conflict. Key to success to improved water governance at all levels and a new innovative water diplomacy on the basis of win–win.
