The Gathering at Gethsemane

About The Book

The Gathering at Gethsemane is a novel. It illuminates the struggles of life through the eyes of clergy. Pastors come together for a conference to discuss the multiple political and social issues that affect the black community and America in general. Every issue from crime to police brutality and a black president is debated. The pastors use the bible as their starting point to justify their position which they argue with exegetical might and passion. However throughout the conference the finger turns from the political to the personal when pastors identify their own struggles with life and self. It goes back to the old adage that everyone is struggling with something. You will be surprised what these ministers are struggling with from sex to depression and so much more. It makes you question those who are called to minister the word of God. The ending only leaves us to feel even more baffled at the burden placed on those who carry the cloth. If you like politics African American issues and psychological thrillers this book is for you. Warning if you read this book you may find yourself in these pages. God be with you...
