The Geography of Informal Work in So Paulo's Historic Centre

About The Book

This book seeks to carry out a systematic study on the spatiality of informal workers their unhealthy conditions deprived of labour rights. These workers struggle daily for a living without any initiative from the public authorities to help them. The ultra-precarious conditions of informal work presented in this book is a reflection of neo-liberal policies within the context of contemporary globalisation of the capitalist system of production. It is a denunciation with notes to dignify the exercise of the work done by millions of men and women who constitute the Brazilian and world working class.
