The Ghost of Black Creek Ranch is the story of 4 cousins and their great adventure on their Grandparents farm in Virginia. The setting is real. Black Creek Ranch is located in Quinton Virginia about 20 miles east of Richmond Virginia the capital of the Confederacy. Battles were fought throughout the area and many of the old buildings are still standing. The barn in the story is also real. It is big and dark and scary and very very old. It has peeling red paint a silo in the back and two stories with cobwebs stalls and nooks and crannies filled with old junk. It sits on a hill just above a beautiful lake. Giant old oak maple and pecan trees fill the woods around both the farmhouse and the old barn. There is a man-made dam at one end of the lake a beaver dam at the other. An old still is hidden in a depression at the north end of the lake. The children in the story are also real. They actually played explored and enjoyed that wonderful farm. The children spoke and acted just the way they are portrayed in this story. They had lots of wonderful adventures. So many things about this story are real.....You decide.
