Daphne is a fourteen-year-old girl who leads a life of wealth and privilege but also great loneliness. She is the daughter of the CEO of a biotech mega-company who has gone missing and a beautiful but failed movie star of a mother. her wish to escape her little bubble and explore the outside world becomes true when her life gets torn apart in a rash of violent riots and The Sickness as the downtrodden rise up against the priviledged and the dead pile up.
