The God in the Box

The God In The Box Is Set In A Future Where Humanity Has Developed Advanced Technology That Allows For The Creation Of Miniature Universes. These Miniature Universes Known As Boxes Are Contained Within Small Devices And Can Be Manipulated By Their Creators. The Story Follows A Scientist Named Dr. Charles Garfield Who Is Experimenting With One Of These Miniature Universes. He Creates A Box Containing A World Inhabited By Sentient Beings Whom He Observes And Interacts With From The Outside. As Dr. Garfield Observes The Miniature World He Becomes Increasingly Involved In The Lives Of Its Inhabitants Known As The Box People. He Takes On The Role Of A God-Like Figure To Them Answering Their Prayers And Manipulating Their Environment According To His Will. However Dr. Garfield'S God-Like Status Begins To Weigh Heavily On Him As He Grapples With The Ethical Implications Of His Actions. He Questions The Morality Of Playing With The Lives Of The Box People And Wonders About The Nature Of His Own Existence As Their Creator.
