The Greater Good

In the summer of 1933 an obscure (albeit idyllic) German town stands firm against the creep of authoritarian rule. The story is told in the present tense first-person plural immersing the reader in the collective thinking of a dottering town council whose internal machinations border on the absurd. Often witty and rife with ribald humor The Greater Good is at its core a reflection upon the precepts of freedom integrity and the fragility of the human condition.
