On the fourth page of the preface appears this statement: More than to any other person except Mr. Sweet the existence of this book is due to Dr. Elroy M. Avery of Cleveland Ohio who assisted materially in its design and character with both pen and purse. Similar credit was given by Mr. Sweet on pages 484 485 and 502 of his work.
