<p>It's summer in the Willamette Valley and life is getting back to normal for Danielle Baker and her children. But their peace is shattered when Natalie calls.</p><p>I'm at my parents' house and I need your help. How quickly can you get here?</p><p>A man was found murdered at an over-55 party that Natalie's parents Nonna and Papi had attended and Detective Nigel Hawksworth is investigating.</p><p>Soon police officers are hallucinating Nonna goes missing and Natalie is fraying around the edges as the danger hits too close to home. </p><p>And without warning Danielle's parents arrive and want to stay with her! </p><p>Nigel doesn't want her to get involved (again) but Danielle won't let that stop her from protecting the ones she loves. Her children want answers</p><p>but her mom wants to spend every day with her and she still needs to write her next book so she can afford to eat. </p><p>So much for a relaxing summer.</p>
