<p>Meet Sally Harriet the brilliant yet moody doctor whose irritable nature is a force to be reckoned with. As a catastrophic epidemic consumes the town the country and the world Sally's workload at the hospital skyrockets. Patients come from far and wide to receive treatment at the hospital which has been recognized for its exceptional care. Despite her exhaustion Sally forms an unlikely bond with a young girl named Hester. Although Sally dislikes children she is drawn to Hester's infectious stamina and spirit. But when Hester is abruptly taken away and adopted by a mother Sally is heartbroken. Tragically Hester succumbs to the disease just weeks after starting school leaving Sally questioning the purpose of her gruelling work. As Sally investigates the epidemic she discovers alarming evidence that suggests a sinister force may be at work. Despite her colleagues' scepticism Sally is determined to prove her theory and uncover the truth. But can she convince others that her accusations are not just the ramblings of a moody doctor?
