Left-wing teacher Tim Henderson loves his wife Olivia - despite the fact that she's just become a Tory MP. They've always talked through their differences and it hardly bothers him at all that now she'll be spending much of her time in the company of more powerful successful men. But after a disastrous Ofsted inspection Tim's job is on the line. Meanwhile their teenage daughter Cordelia falls under the influence of a group of far-left activists who have her mother in their sights.
