The Hermetic Museum

The Hermetic Museum (originally titled Hermetic Museum or The Glory of the World: A Morality) is a collection of alchemical and hermetic writings compiled by German alchemist and physician Heinrich Khunrath. The book was first published in 1597 and later expanded in subsequent editions. Heinrich Khunrath (1560-1605) was a prominent figure in the field of alchemy during the Renaissance period. The Hermetic Museum is one of his most notable contributions to alchemical literature and has been influential in the study of Western esotericism. The book includes a series of allegorical engravings along with texts and treatises from various alchemical authors including some attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. The work aims to convey spiritual and philosophical insights through alchemical symbolism and allegory. As for Arthur Edward Waite he was a renowned occultist and scholar known for his contributions to various esoteric fields including tarot and ceremonial magic. While Waite did not write The Hermetic Museum he did produce numerous other important works on alchemy esotericism and mysticism.
