<p>The Hon. When the robbers split Ian returns to Scotland and becomes a highwayman again. However his career there is short-lived.</p><p>Charles and his family return to Scotland after his mother dies. He takes on the mantel of Earl and stays in Scotland after his father is killed accidentally by a rogue stallion.</p><p></p><p><em>The action in this novel is fast and entertaining.</em></p><p><em>Some of Charles' police actions are stories based broadly on true colony crimes. This is another book of colourful stories of the Australian colonial era from a talented author.</em></p>
