The Hotel on St. James Place

About The Book

The heyday of Atlantic City were decades in the past. Shabby rundown and even seedy were often terms used to describe the once vital seaside city duing the 1970s. It was vastly different than the small shtetl in Poland where Holocaust survivors Harry and Sonia Golubcow once lived. When they emigrated to the United States settled in Atlantic City and became proprietors of the Seacrest Hotel a small walkup situated less than a block from the famous Boardwalk they had to adapt quickly to the times the place and the seedy characters that checked into their hotel. The Golubcow's teen daughter Molly had a front row seat to it all and has recalled the memories and misfits in a lively narrative. It's an unforgetable journey!
