The House Without a Key

The story follows a young Bostonian named John Quincy Winterslip who travels to Honolulu to visit his aging grandfather who lives in a house without a key. While in Hawaii Winterslip becomes embroiled in a murder case when a wealthy socialite is found dead on the grounds of the estate. Charlie Chan a Honolulu police detective is brought in to investigate the murder and he quickly becomes the focus of the story. Chan is known for his intellect humor and distinctive aphorisms and he uses his unique approach to crime-solving to piece together the clues and uncover the identity of the killer.
