<p>Detective Billie McCoy and Sophie Hynes couldn't be more different. Billie upholds the law and fights for justice while Sophie a staunch lieutenant in the underground militia Shadax stands for everything Billie opposes.</p><p>They first crossed paths under extraordinary circumstances. After Farrah's unexpected death his fanatical right-hand man Dr Crane a twisted scientist who extracts information through cruel electronic experiments takes command. Crane sees Billie as his ultimate challenge. She defied him once. Now he is determined to control her mind.</p><p>Separated and each facing life-threatening dangers fate once again steps in to draw Sophie and Billie together. Billie struggles to fight Crane's torturous experiments. As her situation worsens she finds herself reluctantly turning to Sophie the cold-hearted renegade who cares only for herself.
