The Impact of Dialogue-circles on the Moroccan EFL learners' Speaking
English

About The Book

This experimental study investigated the relationship between dialogue-circles and freshmen’s speaking skill. Based on some theories of language development this research attempted to study the impact of dialogue circles taking place beyond the walls of classrooms on learners’ oral skills in the Moroccan EFL context. Accordingly two comparative undergraduate groups enrolled in the 1st year of English studies at Moulay Ismail University were observed on a pre-and-post-testing occasion by devising three speaking tasks of Oral Proficiency (Monologue Dialogue and Multilogue). From a statistical perspective the findings obtained from the speaking proficiency tasks provided strong evidence that English circles have improved speaking ability of the participants in the experimental group to be precise monologic dialogic and group-interactional skills.
