The Impact of Trade Facilitation in Sub-Saharan Africa

About The Book

Trade facilitation is argued to be a key policy intervention in the stimulation of trade volumes globally through its effects on time and costs to trade. This study seeks to analyse which trade facilitation measures improve trade performance/flows in general for Sub-Saharan Africa and Malawi. The study employed the gravity model which is suitably augmented and estimated on a set of 14 African countries based in COMESA and SADC over a period of 3 years. The statistical package STATA 13 was used in estimating the model.
