The importance of the Marromeu-Mozambique sugar factory complex

With the interconnection between the disciplines of Anthropology Economics and Sociology we addressed the contribution that the social and economic sciences can make to the valorization of the industry in order to create jobs and thus contribute to the eradication of poverty. We concluded that all the efforts made to rehabilitate the sugar industry have led to the flourishing of the Marromeu district. On the other hand it is essential to highlight the development strategies adopted in the country by characterizing the Mozambican economic system itself economic evolution as well as the investment framework and the development of the private sector. The work addresses issues related to the concept of development in its various stages where we sought to establish its historical evolution and the case study on The importance of the Marromeu sugar factory complex - Sofala province in Mozambique - in socio-economic development for the community where the various trajectories of the sugar factory and the current situation of the district in social terms are presented.
