<p>The sunrise and the dying light from the embers cast long shadows that danced eerily on the walls illuminating the remnants of a world once vibrant and full of life. Red cautiously exited the building's safety stepping into a reality fraught with danger and uncertainty. The city's edge was chaotic a stark contrast to the tranquil dawn. </p><p>Destruction lay everywhere a grim testament to the havoc wreaked by the infection. We experienced our first lone shambling walker a haunting figure that seemed to embody the despair around us. The slow decaying corpse was the early stage of the infection its skin stretched tightly over exposed bones giving it a grotesque appearance.</p>
