The Inns and Taverns of ''Pickwick''

This curious literary artifact is a travelogue of sorts a guidebook to the real inns and taverns mentioned in Charles Dickens first novel The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club or more familiarly The Pickwick Papers. The 1836-7 comic serial was a phenomenon in its day and was in the mind of Dickens scholar BERTRAM WALDROM MATZ (1865-1925) Englands classic book of humor.
