The Jonassian Principle of Responsibility

The environmental crisis is a reality that concerns us all. Climate change loss of biodiversity air water and land pollution are all problems that require immediate action. It's time to move from urgency to ecological necessity in other words to recognize that environmental protection is an absolute necessity for the future of humanity.The Jonasian Responsibility Principle postulates that humanity has a moral and ethical responsibility towards future generations and the environment. The author argues that human actions have long-term consequences and that we must take these consequences into account in our present decisions. We therefore need responsibility towards future generations responsibility towards the environment and precaution.
