This book is packed full of action involving people who are mostly ordinary folks who get into trouble without trying. The main characters are close like family but are mostly not. They have to constantly try and do the seemingly impossible. One of the main characters is a very large black dog who has some interesting abilities. There are bad guys who cause the story to have interesting and unexpected twist with dramatic outcomes that the reader doesnt look for.
