This is my story - that is Amar’s story… The story will take you from my school life to my engineering college. Through the ups and downs that came into my life this story will make you laugh as well as cry. It’s possible that after reading it you may also feel angry with me because I lost a true love. What it feels like to lose someone - you only realize that after you have lost them. But those events changed my life and gave it a new direction. If all of this had not happened to me perhaps you wouldn’t be reading this story today. Difficulties are never easy you have to make them easy. Paths create themselves but you must take the first step. This is my first book dedicated to my mother who dreamed of seeing it published even more than I did. In truth this dream belongs to my entire family because each of them has believed in me throughout this journey. I am grateful to my first reader my sister who encouraged me by saying she never imagined I could write so well. I also thank my second reader and editor my wife Nisha Lamba who took out time from her schedule to edit this book. My brother Omkaar Singh Lamba also deserves thanks for helping me with the title. Life has always been full of ups and downs. I received everything I wished for though not always at the right time—but eventually I got more than I expected. I am still far from my destination but I continue to move forward step by step without stopping.
