THE JOY OF RECREATIONAL MATHEMATICS

The purpose of penning this book is to create interest for mathematics among the students especially those studying in schools whether in Class I or in Class XII. The teachers can use it as a reference book and before teaching any topic try to put some entertaining math problem or puzzle the children will be attracted to the subject in a natural way. The title ‘The Joy of Recreational Mathematics’ is employed to cover those mathematical activities like puzzles and games which are not included in the text books. These activities are meant to generate curiosity and amusement so that the children find attraction towards the subject.Young parents can play with their school-going children to amuse them by asking think of a number thereby helping them to appreciate the wonder of numbers or a teacher telling children how to remember tables from 2 to 99 and helping them doing large calculations within seconds. The book will certainly act as a playing arena.
