The KaliSun Initiative series is a near-future science fiction story set in Earths Solar system. The aftermath of a global war between the United States and China where both sides resorted to extreme tactics has left the world reeling. The cold war that followed allowed the two sides to catch their breath and prepare for the next war - in space. When the KaliSun Corporations science experiment near Saturn goes awry disrupting communications through out the solar system the Chinese take the opportunity to go on the offensive once more targeting the KaliSun Moon- Based Training Center on Earths moon. The combat that followed was vicious but yielded no victor.The second book The Price of Progress picks up immediately after the end of The KaliSun Initiative as the consequences of the Corporations first attempt at interstellar travel become painfully evident.
