The Kingdom of God

<p><strong>In His earthly ministry Jesus spoke often about the kingdom of God. The Jews of His day were expecting this kingdom as the prophets had foretold it in their writings. But they also had serious misunderstandings of the kingdom and its purpose as well as its King and His identity. </strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Christians today still struggle with subject of the kingdom of God. Some blur the lines between God's kingdom and Christ's church. Others think Christ has not yet begun to reign as King in the way God intended but that this has been deferred to our future. Still others impose their own expectations upon the kingdom and the church that are at odds with sound biblical teaching. </strong></p><p></p><p><strong>The Kingdom of God: A Biblical Perspective offers a big-picture examination of God's kingdom Christ the King and Christ's church. This work presents these subjects in the context of Old Testament and New Testament scripture. Its purpose is to define terms accurately separate fact from fiction and make practical applications to daily Christian living. This work will not answer every question concerning the kingdom of God but may challenge all of us to speak of it with greater understanding and confidence.</strong></p>
