Volume 1 Begins With A General Sketch Of The Condition Of The Bombay Presidency; Rogers Then Provides Detailed Descriptions Of The Land Revenue System Of Eight Collectorates (Ahmadabad Kheda Panch Mahals Bhauch Surat Thana Colaba And Khandesh).
