About The Book

The story begins during World War I when a British boat called the Triton is torpedoed by a German submarine in the South Atlantic. The survivors including the protagonist Bowen Tyler find themselves stranded on a mysterious and uncharted island. As they explore the island they soon realize that it is a lost world called Caspak where time and evolution have followed a different course. Caspak is a land filled with prehistoric creatures primitive tribes and incredible dangers. The island is divided into different regions each inhabited by distinct forms of life ranging from dinosaurs to Neanderthals and more advanced beings. Bowen and the other survivors must navigate this treacherous and unpredictable land facing numerous perils including encounters with dangerous predators and battles against rival tribes. Along the way Bowen forms alliances confronts personal challenges and embarks on a quest to find a way off the island. The Land that Time Forgot explores themes of survival evolution and the resilience of the human spirit.
