THE LANGUAGE OF LIGHT

?The language of light? was written by Antonio Petrillo who dedicated the last years of his short life to its drafting. Antonio was a friend of mine and a teacher and I applied his teachings about light and lighting of artworks during many years of my career. I had long promised to dear Luisa Antonio?s wife to publish his unreleased work but I never found the time and serenity to handle it due my work and teaching. I do it now taking advantage also of the skill and availability of Roberta Todisco who oversaw the research of images and the book?s graphics. It?s left to me to try to recreate the writing style of his work given that it would be impossible to re-propose an updated version without Antonio?s advices suggestions and affection that He always has given to me undeservedly.
