The Last Six Months is a moving story about my mother Kay who went into an NHS hospital for a routine hip operation. Her condition deteriorated soon after her operation so I started writing notes every day. Six months later I was still writing and sadly she died while still in the hospital. My notes have become an up-to-date diary during this terrible and tragic course of events it has also allowed me to remember the many wonderful conversations the laughter the tears the anxieties and the closeness we had. I hope from reading my mother's story and from my readers who have kindly contributed their own stories of loved ones they should never be yesterday's news it's so important that these stories are shown and not forgotten. Together we can make a difference. Strength In Numbers
