The Story Is Set In A Future Where Interstellar Travel And Colonization Are Common. The Plot Revolves Around A Unique Form Of Punishment For Criminals: Cryonic Suspension. Instead Of Traditional Imprisonment Criminals Are Sentenced To Decades Or Even Centuries Of Cryonic Sleep. This Form Of Punishment Is Both A Deterrent And A Way To Remove Them From Society Without Overcrowding Prisons. The Protagonist John Andrews Is Wrongfully Convicted Of A Crime And Sentenced To Cryonic Suspension. Upon Awakening He Discovers That A Long Time Has Passed And The Society He Knew Has Changed Drastically. Not Only Has Technology Advanced But The Very Fabric Of Society Has Evolved. He Finds Himself In A World Where He Is A Relic Of The Past Struggling To Understand And Adapt To The New World Order.
