The Life of Tilkepnaye

<p>In this hardback English edition of The Life of Tilkpemaye. Fr. Bazzi takes his reader on a 12-month journey into a day in the life of the villagers of Tilkepe Iraq. Through Fr. Bazzi's vivid descriptions and photographs the reader is able to get a sense of what village life was like in the twentieth century before the invasion of ISIS. Fr. Bazzi uses the liturgical calendar of the Chaldean Catholic Church to divide the months into a series of events revolving around past times and traditions. As someone who grew up in Tilkepe and whose family for generations beforehand Fr. Bazzi is able to share first hand his descriptions of village life. Fr. Michael served as a priest in Tilkepe in the 1960's before moving onto Rome and the United States. The reader will get a sense of what a year in the life of the Tilkpenaye was really like after reading this account.</p><p><br></p>
